Review on HQRP 4 Position 3 Speed 120V 250V Selector Switch by Jesus Baker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

use caution when inserting wires

This is a type of switch where you insert a stripped wire into a hole and it supposedly holds the wire. On 3 out of 4 wires everything worked fine. On the 4th it wasn't holding the wire tight enough and when I installed it on the fan the wire was dangling and making no contact. I had to disassemble the switch, bend the notched connector and reinstall all the wires. It took 2 iterations to securely connect all the wires. The switch is designed to be mounted on a flat surface. The shifter I replaced had a slanted grip, and the skirt on that grip didn't allow it to go low enough to fully engage the shifter shaft. I used a dremel tool to remove the skirt to make it work. After all that, it's working fine now.

Pros
  • 4-position rotary switch (OFF, L-1, L-2, L-3);
Cons
  • Damaged
