The first thing I liked about this tool is the sturdy construction. I would give it five stars but this tool is only for large oil filters and not the smaller final filters used in subcompact engines. In my opinion the design is imperfect if it can't use all auto filters. It must be triangulated to get a minimum distance for use with smaller filters. I had a port freight that broke and this was to replace it. Another thing I would change is the ends if they were going to stick to the filter. They have to be rough so he can hold them, not nice and smooth and round.
