This is a genuine AC Delco part 15785087 that fits my 2004 GMC Envoy XL exactly. Although Revain and all other sites said it doesn't fit the 2004 Envoy, believe me it's the exact same cable I just replaced. The little plastic piece holding the original cable to the transmission side evaporated and I replaced it with a Dorman "Help" plastic piece sold here at Revain and elsewhere. However, I wasn't happy that it was a permanent solution. So I was looking for a replacement cable. I couldn't find a replacement anywhere. Neither site said they had a cable for my year's Envoy model. I read the reviews on here about this cable and decided to risk it. As I said before, this is an exact replacement. I don't understand why Revain and other GM parts suppliers don't list this as fitting a 2004 Envoy. If you decide to replace the cable yourself, be prepared to remove the center console and pick up the carpet on the driver's side floor panel. They will also be under the car. Both ends of the cable are simply plugged into the pins.
