(GE wants you to buy a $50 filter twice a year) If you are like me you don't use that much water thru this .

It fit, and worked. you need to use the chip from the supplied dummy filter, and it will report that there is no filtration. (GE wants you to buy a $50 filter twice a year) If you are like me you don't use that much water thru this filter and GE is ripping us off.So. buy this filter, tape the electronic chip to it in the right place, mark your calendar to remind yourself to get another filter in 6 months, or sooner depending on your usage.

Pros

This is my second one...much cheaper than the OEM version, and as far as I can tell works as well.
