Review on CEP Unisex Ortho+ Achilles Support Brace with Compression for Injured Achilles Tendons, Joint Pain, and Discomfort by Joseph Lang

Virtually useless

After receiving this extremely expensive support for a week, I initially found it to be virtually useless for relieving Achilles tendon problems. It doesn't put enough pressure on the gel pads around the tendon to ease the discomfort due to the elasticity of the cuff, so I don't think it does much for the pain relief - and my Achilles tendon sprain pain isn't that high to begin with. I have $15 support that does more than that. To me, that's totally unacceptable when support costs $70. The second glaring downside is the extremely low overall quality. The top third of the sleeve has already lost its elasticity in the week I've had it, and the parts of the sleeve at the transition are also coming apart. That would be bad on its own, but it's even worse if I wear this bandage casually in everyday life and don't do any sports with it. When I compare these other ankle braces or even other knitted body braces that have held me up for many years before they started falling apart, this quality issue becomes even more apparent.
