Odor okay. It does not smell like pure vanilla oil, instead it has an "air freshener" smell. You can smell the coconut oil in it quite well. The bottle arrived in a plastic bag but it leaked a bit so my house smells a lot like vanilla now. I'm not mad about it, I just found it a little funny. As a massage oil, it is easy to apply, although the smell is very strong, so it should be used sparingly. After it was absorbed, my skin felt like there was something on it, so I don't know how useful it will be for me. It wasn't overly moisturizing for the little one, but I've tried so far. I usually use extra virgin coconut oil, so I expected it to feel the same. Maybe it's the jojoba that's confusing me. Also, the security seal inside the bottle cap was broken when it arrived. This makes me feel a little less secure when using it.
