Works and good value for money

Works on my Supermicro X11SAE motherboard. I removed 2 ECC sticks @ 8GB and installed Timetec 2 @ 16GB for a total of 64GB of PC4-17000 CL15 memory. My operating system is CentOS/KVM and I have about 3 dozen VMs to experiment with and I've run out of 48GB of memory. Although there is swap space on every machine, it is not used unless I have allocated enough memory. RAM is faster than SSD. Since my hypervisor (CentOS/KVM) no longer boots into ECC memory, I installed memtest86+ in the GRUB boot menu, which allows me to test RAM if I suspect a problem. Each round takes about 4 hours. The processor is a Xeon E3-1245v5 and my computer has 68TB of storage in 24 drive bays. The additional cost of the VM is the same as another digital photo and I can finish the build pretty quickly. I'm doing a 72-hour burnout test

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I won't say anything
