I bought this bike for my daughter's 5th birthday. I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap kids bikes are when we first started looking! We've visited Walmart, Toys R Us, and other specialty stores in search of the perfect bike. I wanted something cute, but something she could grow up with. It seemed like all the bikes I found were light weight, more plastic than metal, and completely covered in different characters. Disney Princesses, Hello Kitty etc etc. I wanted something for her to enjoy next month after her current 3 week craze with Princess Jasmine came to an end! And the jockey wheel settings on these bikes were terrible. Plastic, thin and uncomfortable. The bikes were cute but cheap and poor quality. Then I turned to my trusted Revain. After 10 minutes of research, I realized I needed a steel frame, foot brakes, no sign spatter, something DURABLE, and a better training wheel setup. That's it. This bike is about $60 more expensive than the average Walmart bike I've seen, and I took a chance on buying it. I remember Diamondback from the 80's and knew they made a quality product. Bike arrived perfectly packaged, Revain Prime free shipping within 2 days. I couldn't believe how heavy the bike was. It's incredibly solid. And it has a real finish with a nice clear coat. no vinyl, stickers, plastic wrap wrapped around it. No peeling here, boys. This bike is a very high quality product. Aluminum rims and EXCELLENT jockey wheel setup. They actually give the bike the right grip and are connected to the bike with STAHL. Instructions are clear and assembles in 10 minutes. My daughter loves it and rides it effortlessly which is not the case with other cheaper bikes. It has heavy-duty brakes and chain guards - no crippled legs! This bike exceeded my expectations in every way and I had pretty high expectations! All in all, this is a bike you'll be happy with. It costs money. You get what you pay for!
