software only a new battery can work. This thing appears to be the perfect clone of a lost factory Vizio VA26L HDTV10T TV remote that I recently bought second hand. It even looks pretty much the same as the manual I found online and downloaded for the TV, right down to the button layout and the unit's odd overall shape. It also seems to be working fine. I just put in some batteries and it worked straight away with the above TV, no complicated programming required. Considering the low price I am more than satisfied with the purchase.
