Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

I don't understand why it was impossible to make such a remote immediately. It's already a great device. It is comfortable and sits better in the hand. The buttons are located where they need to be, it works faster and does not blunt compared to the first generation remote control from 4K. The control wheel is very convenient and understandable. It is completely touch sensitive. Someone is comfortable, someone is not, the sensor can be turned off in the settings.

Have to buy a new one every 6-12 months

I love my Apple TV but this is the 3rd remote I've had to replace since I first got it in 2017 Get an Apple TV. The right mouse button eventually loses the connection. I've even taken them apart and cleaned them and they can still last a few weeks after they've been cleaned, but eventually you'll have to buy new ones because they're a piece of crap and there's no way to change them. The channel on these new TVs is remoteless like an old school TV, so you're throwing money away if you buy these…

Don't bother reading negative reviews - if you need an Apple TV replacement, this is it.

I usually read negative reviews before deciding on a product and am quite skeptical about replacing the remote control with an old Apple TV. Mine is so old I didn't know if it was 1st or 2nd generation. It arrived within 2 days, we took it out of the box (which turned out to be the hardest part of the whole replacement process), pointed it at the TV and it works like a charm. No pairing, no problem, no problem. I think people who write bad reviews don't realize that their problems may lie…

Doesn't work with newer Macs - Misleading Apple Item Description

Lately I've been using my laptop to play audiobooks and music through my home audio system while fumbling around and getting tired of going back to my car to fiddle with the volume or fast forward/rewind/pause the audio.
