I work in engineering and need to connect to a console for basic setup/troubleshooting. This suction cup has done a fantastic job of allowing me to connect to multiple systems at the same time. The console ports are clearly labeled so there's no confusion as to which cable goes with which port. It also doesn't slow down the reaction. I've seen some cables that split the connection so that you get 10-20 lines from one cable and then 10-20 lines from the other. So the long and short is that it works and makes it easy. I mainly use a Mac so I can provide OSX approval and proof of work. If you're really pushing, I could provide the iTerm2 settings I use to capture my console logs and tell it to grab ports for the serial port. The same cable is now the standard cable available for purchase if anyone asks me. So, I'd say do this if you need a dual serial connection. It's good and it works.
