Review on Huepar Triple-Sided Display Detector Receiver by Logan Collier

I was able to shoot up to 150ft in the early morning/early evening with no problems. But it flakes off a bit in the harsh midday sun when the green light flickers and the horn does the same. I suspect this is an issue with glare from the sun on the optics. Maybe it would be better if it was shaded with an umbrella or something. Also, the adjustable clamp doesn't open wide enough to slide over the section sleeves on my survey pole, so there's a spot on every section where I can't get a good elevation reading. This is NOT a detector. This is my staff. So I have to work around that. Otherwise a good device. I like the spirit level on top which helps keep the bar upright. I wish it had a safety clip to hold it by the stick because if the clip is loose the detector will fall off. Further information. Today I did all the morning shooting levels in the marina. It was cloudy and I could easily get stable readings at least 60m away. I also made a small loop of thin 1/8" elastic cord and wrapped it around the detector and pole to prevent the detector from falling into the water. It worked great!
