Needed to replace both door spring cables (cords) on my 13 year old Kenmore dishwasher model 665.13153K701. The door counterweight design is a bit odd, but it works. Installation will be much easier if you can pull out the dishwasher completely. Otherwise, reach into very tight spots to connect the spring to the bottom rear edge of the device, connect a new string to the spring (in the middle of the bottom edge of the device), wrap the string around the pulleys. at the lower front edge of the furniture and finally attach the end piece to the lower edge of the door. Now the door works the same as when you first bought the dishwasher.
