Can't decide if I love it or hate it

Honestly I'm a swim coach and a mother of 4 girls on a Speedo sponsored swim team. This in no way affects my opinion of this costume. I'm 5'11" and 450 pounds. I usually wear a size 16 swimwear and got a size 18. As for the design, I really like the suit. I didn't think I liked the low neckline but it's actually very flattering. The high empire waist creates a beautiful hourglass figure. The hips fit well, the back doesn't arch and the teardrop back is flattering. The problem is I have a long torso and this ( like most speedos) doesn't really fit my length.Normally I would adjust the straps and this one has adjustable straps but then the chest area sits too high.I don't like?Same empire waist. It's itchy.Thick, sticks out and Itches. Boo. Structurally you get an amazing speedometer quality. I couldn't find any manufacturing defects. The suit is fully lined. Inside and doesn't show up at all when wet. The cup pads are sewn in place so there is no slipping or moving which annoys my pet and the cups themselves are sewn on so they don't stand up. The color is beautiful. A beautiful iridescent speedometer logo is emblazoned on the left front. The buckles are metal and should hold up well. The suit has SPF 50 to protect against the sun. The suit was supposed to hold its shape, but I didn't feel it - probably because I've grown too tall. Made in Sri Lanka. Shell: 80% Nylon, 20% Creora Nylon (chlorine resistant fabric). Lining 100% polyester. Mesh 68% nylon, 12% elastane. Hand wash, do not tumble dry, lay flat to dry. The instructions say to wash with the same colors. Personally, I rarely wash a suit, just rinse in cold water, soak in cold water for 20 minutes, then lay flat to dry.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Negative experiences
