We tried everything we could to get one of our dogs to shut up all night. He barks at every sound all night, even if the house is rustling or someone is tossing and turning in bed. As long as the collar is on it works pretty well, our barking dog learned the sound of the honk, vibrate and shock modes very quickly. He quickly learned to stop as soon as he heard the beep. But for now, he knows when the collar is off and is reverting to his old ways. But it's only been a week, let's see if his behavior changes over time. I have an issue and why I docked 2 stars is that when adjusting the settings the collar makes the same beep as the alert tone when the dog barks. So when I adjust the collar settings and the dog hears a beep, it freaks out and runs out of the room. Also, the buttons on the front of the collar are very delicate. So by holding your dog with your hand touching the front of the collar, you can easily activate the settings that make the collar sound. The settings beep is really confusing for the dog and I am almost on the verge of not recommending this product because of it.
