I used orange plastic snakes to clean the shower drain and sink. My daughter and I both have long hair so drains slow down over time and removing this hair is really the only way to fix the problem. It can be a little tricky to get these snakes far enough into the sewers, they need to get in as far as possible. Once inside, just twist it a few times and then slowly pull it out. Be confident and act SLOWLY or you will splatter yourself with disgusting things. Have a plastic bag handy, just put the snake and all the hair in the bag and throw it away. I've tried reusing them, but try not to pull all the hair out of the sturdy handles along the orange plastic.
