Do not buy this bottle for a child. I bought them for my 3 year old son and my almost 4 year old nephew. I wanted a plastic bottle with no straw. They seemed to fit perfectly and they were in her favorite colors. They can open a bottle perfectly, but none of them can close it comfortably. My nephew can't do that at all. It feels a bit tight even for my husband. The only way my son can close his is by putting the bottle on the floor and leaning on it with all his might. Too bad, because otherwise it seems to be the perfect bottle.
