It is easiest to use when adjusting the brine. Easy to read.

I installed a very technical water softener at home. I didn't like the recommended brine tank water levels, and the manufacturer's brine tank design resulted in less than fully saturated brine unless one kept the brine tank full at all times. With this device I was able to confirm that my simple workaround of getting 100% brine down to the last grain of salt worked well. I made a bracket for this that mounts on the wall behind the brine tank for easy access. I smile every time I use it because the scale is so easy to read and the results are so consistent.
