I wanted to take this one and try it. I usually spend a little more on a subwoofer. This subwoofer caught my attention. The frame is plastic and to be honest I have never tried one made of plastic. Stamped steel would be better. appreciate that this subwoofer has push-in connectors for the speaker cable. Place a subwoofer in a perforated box about 1.33 cubic feet, tuned to 34 Hz. The specification for this subwoofer required me to use at least 1.5 cubic feet of box volume. Does this run into 2 ohms with my amp putting out 800 watts into 2 ohms. Handled the bass well and still managed to hit 106dB at a decent volume. The low frequencies of the subwoofer were not very deep due to the box being too small. My deck and amp were set up with a SMD DD-1 (Distortion Detector). All in all, this is a great budget subwoofer. I bought a pair and will be building a custom box in a couple of weeks. Then I can hear what they can actually do in the right box. I hope this helped. .
