MUST READ THE UPDATE BEFORE BUYING --- I only have one problem with this potty. Now I have neighbors who come for coffee all the time, but no one has yet agreed to help me pay for the coffee. Seriously, this kettle is easy to use and will keep coffee hot for hours without getting too strong. It's like having an "always open" coffee shop in my kitchen. I also bought a coffee grinder and some great coffee beans, all of which miraculously contributed to my obesity in retirement. I highly recommend this pot. It's easy to use, easy to clean (I just rinse it out so it's flavorful) and it makes great coffee. "UPDATE" The plastic lid broke and it looks like West Bend has been out of stock for 7 months. It's a shame to buy a coffee pot for almost $50 and use it for less than a year. I will never buy West Bend products again.
