This product serves its purpose very well. I wanted to do some video work and decided to give it a try. I love that it has open screw holes under the stand so you can detach it and make it more portable. I was thinking about maybe for a car shoot or something where I wanted smooth video, not something on my phone where I try to be perfectly smooth. I think it would be great for micro scale product photography too. The phone app is very useful. You basically pick two points to cycle between and then specify how many cycles you want to go through. Then sit back and let things take it from there. You can also control the shutter from your app if you use the panorama part of the app. I'm still getting used to the video part, so you'll hear some shake on the video as my camera tries to focus. I had to focus manually for that. With this it's pretty easy to get a single point of focus, you just change the center bar to a diagonal line and it follows. The camera mount made a very stable impression. I wasn't afraid at all that it would start falling. I also have a GVM camera light that attaches to the top of the camera for more mobile video. I'm just experimenting with ideas for this thing, I could totally use putting it in front of the window and turning on the police lights if I'm filming a scene and wanted them to drive by or something. I think it's generally very useful for those who know how to make videos properly. They ship him in a very nice travel case for anyone worried about how to transport this bad boy. It's also very light. I look forward to experimenting with it and seeing how creatively I can use it.
