Misleading Information

These socks may "contain" 100% Merino Wool, but they aren't strictly 100% Merino Wool! I have a severe allergy to synthetic materials and bought these socks based on the manufacturer's instructions. Since it's winter in the mountains now, I wore them exclusively every day. While wearing them all the time, the eczema flared up on both feet and started spreading. Since these socks were supposed to be 100% wool, I took the hit to something else. When I got huge 4" x 3" masses on both feet where I wore socks, I knew I had a problem. The next day I put on organic cotton socks and the crowds went down immediately. After a few days, the severe itching stopped. This experience made me realize that not all of these socks were made from natural fibers. The health of the consumer is at risk if one cannot rely on the information provided by a manufacturer about his own product. So if you are allergic to chemical/synthetics, take my experience and look elsewhere.
