Review on Adjustable 6 Tier Floor-To-Ceiling Shoe Spinner with Basket by Whitmor by Jaime Pulley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not for standard 8ft ceilings without extra tools/effort, but not impossible!

I was so excited when I discovered this product that I somehow missed the part that said it fits 9ft ceilings . I have standard 8ft 2.5in ceilings so with a spring pull rod and a second piece attached it was too big to fit. It was too shaky without the second pole. I went to Lowe's and found this little pipe cutter for $12 in the plumbing department. Trimming the second pipe to fit my ceiling and be solid worked great. As you can see I figured I would have to cut off 4.25 inches (according to my measurements). but had to go back 4 more times to cut some more. maybe an inch and a half. Therefore, only 5.75 to 6 inches of top tube cutting is required to fit standard 8 foot ceilings. I used the trick recommended by another review and turned my baskets upside down so I could store my stilettos. One thing that will stand out to me is that I have avoided wearing stilettos with soft leather heels as the sagging pressure of the shoe can cause a dent. For those with suede, wood, etc., everything seems fine. Definitely a game changer for the shoe owner who is running out of closet space! ;-)

Pros
  • Heavy duty chrome steel shoe last fits up to 36 pairs of shoes
Cons
  • Good but not great
