Review on Plantronics Electronic Switch APP 51 Control by Jeffrey Sanders

We've used Polycom phones with Plantronics wireless headsets - and this combination works great, except the answer button on the headset doesn't work without using the handset lifter. Listener raisers have always seemed a bit awkward to me; but this cable completely solves the problem with no elevator. All you have to do is replace the standard Plantronics to phone interface cable with this one and it all works great. I will say that initially I just plugged in the cable and was disappointed when it didn't work properly. After a few minutes of trial and error, I pulled out the one-page manual that came with this cable and read it :). The key was to adjust the phone settings in Analog/Plantronics mode and then everything worked perfectly. I know it seems expensive; but compared to the cost and labor of a jack, this cable really isn't that bad. I would recommend it if you use a Plantronics headset with a Polycom phone.
