I love this mouse pad. If you read the reviews, you will see that most of the negative reviews are about version 1. Version 2 has been greatly improved! It's a shame that so many top reviews refer to the V1. The lighting is great and complements my Huntsman Elite keyboard and basilisk mouse well. I should mention that I'm a businessman and not a gamer, but I found out a long time ago that gaming hardware is better than the crap sold for business purposes. It has already been mentioned that you are basically paying for cool lighting. , but it's actually a great mouse pad besides being super cool to look at. The slightly textured hard plastic surface is optimal for modern optical mice (mice?). Soft padded mouse pads were invented for old (long obsolete) rollerball mice. Yes I know. some of you weren't even born then. This hard plastic case is ideal for quick and precise mouse control. Then desktop is better. I love it!
