That does not work. on single board computers

I just got this and tried to connect it to my Raspberry Pi following the instructions. I have many multicolored lines on the screen but no image. I added the lines to the configuration file as I said: max_usb_current=1hdmi_group=2hdmi_mode=87hdmi_cvt 800 480 60 6 0 0 0 I connected it to my win 10 laptop and the touch driver works but the screen doesn't work. It starts out white and slowly draws vertical gray lines across it. I've tried just plugging in a USB power source with no HDMI connection and the same issues. I'm doing something wrong If successful, I will update my rating.
