Review on ECCPP Front Hood Gas Springs Struts for Lexus LS460 (2007-2012) and Lexus LS600h (2008-2012) - Compatible with PM9028 Strut Set of 2 by Rene Putman
Seems to be working fine.
The OEM shock had a slight angle at the attachment point to the hood which they don't have. It doesn't seem to be a problem and has held up well for the past few months or so so far.
