A beautiful pattern with threads for a shimmering effect
I made it for my niece as a gift for the New Year. My daughter's friend saw the finished product and asked me to make it for her. The filament is difficult to work with, but the effect is beautiful. I've found that the best way to do this is to do the color without thread first, and then do only the second half of the stitch, not the whole X, with thread, using two threads so you can can see more. There was a butterfly (below right) with no thread but with two different colors on the icon and I had enough thread for this butterfly over the two colors.
