JUNE 2019So I bought a second set to replace the one that burned. After inspecting the new kit, I realized why and how moisture is in the last kit. If you remove the adhesive pad and look at the back of the flashlight where the lens meets the base, you can clearly see that this is where moisture is entering the flashlight body. I used clear silicone and put a small bead in these seams, hopefully this will prevent water from entering this set. The picture shows the white silicone before it turns clear... If they solved this problem it would be a five star light all day long! Edit: LOSE 1 STAR BECAUSE: I bought these in September 2017, I have one that has been out of service since July 2018. There is ALL moisture in them and I am assuming the LED will have failed in less than a year. I will order them again as they are very bright. However, I will be sealing the seams where the lens meets the substrate and on the back where the wires are inserted. Very bright, easy to install, simply plugs into the fixture's regular outlet. I have tried other lenses with clear lenses, they are 2 times brighter! Would definitely buy again! Unless you're a complete idiot and can't figure out that they just plug into the truck's light socket, ie. replace the lightbulb. This is idiot protection!
