As other reviewers have pointed out and I have found from personal experience that this device keeps forgetting its settings and needs updating. It's big, expensive, and installation is slow, clumsy, and painful. I bought it to connect to my DirecTV receiver. If the device remembers its wireless network settings, it's working great! However, these "working" instances work for several hours at worst, daily at best. Despite following all tech support instructions and even replacing a unit under factory warranty, the problems persist. Customer service responded quickly via email but no instructions from them, no firmware update could solve these issues. After 3 days of troubleshooting without success, I had to pay to ship the defective unit to them via UPS and they sent me a new one. This process took about two weeks, but the new unit they sent me has the exact same issues! Other notes: - The installation is slow and tedious and only works with the PC. I don't have a WPS button setup, so I can't comment on that. The wireless signal is pretty good when it can be maintained and the device remembers your settings. The warranty conditions are definitely in need of improvement. Why should I pay $10 to ship a defective $40 product, only to receive another defective product in return? that way, you could use this box to send back the original defective box and not be left without a product for so long (although that last point was still stupid because the replacement was defective it still wouldn't hurt, a friendlier guideline how to have this ) .- NOT compatible with MAC - installation with MAC does not exist and is not possible. You need to dual boot or start Parallels on your PC. PLEASE spend your money elsewhere and save yourself headaches and unnecessary frustration. I recently tried the NETGEAR WNCE2001 Universal WiFi Adapter, which is a bit more expensive but works well, is Mac compatible, and is about 1/5 the size of a Trendnet device. Finally a product that works as advertised. - NOT compatible with MAC - setup with MAC is not available and not possible. You need to dual boot or start Parallels on your PC.
