Review on OSD Audio PS10 Powered Subwoofer by Paula Mellgren

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice little Sub Fast

I like: Small size, nice finish. I don't like: Too light weight. I've always wanted a sealed subwoofer and I like big sound in small packages. This sub connects and connects like any other, no problem. The biggest disappointment was the light weight. My floors are ceramic tile and this subwoofer has rubber feet, but to get enough sound from this subwoofer I had to crank the volume up. while the sub's vibrations set it in motion. If it were heavier, or if the rubber feet were more grippy, it might stay in place better. The size is amazing. The glossy finish of the piano is high quality but needs cleaning to keep it looking good. Imagine fingerprints on stainless steel appliances and you have an idea. There seems to be plenty of power from an additional internal amp, but perhaps combined with a 10" driver/heatsink combo, a larger box and more anti-vibration ballast for about the same relative price, and I think the OSD will do that Bestseller. Overall impression: good but not good enough to stay at the current price. If it were $110-$150 max, I could justify the value for my preference. If you are short on space, add rug on the floor and maybe some rug tips, this might be a good little coaster for you! Don't be afraid to listen to this sub and try it yourself. This is just my review of this little beast.
