The sockets are not wide enough for my needs, but I left them anyway
Be sure to measure the width of the plugs you intend to use with this appliance as the sockets are not that far apart , as I had hoped. I still chose to keep this extension because of its compact size, the ability to hang it on the wall and the 7 sockets available. I am using 1ft extensions from Etekcity https://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-Power-Extension-Outlet-Listed/dp/B00CEJW0WQ/ref=sr_1_3 with this extension and it solved my problem.
