TROND Protector Widely Spaced Extension Mountable Review

Very happy with this product: - External screw fixings make installation easy and straightforward - Wall plugs are well spaced to accommodate warts in the wall - Wall plugs allow for flush and slant mounting - Practical cable management with Velcro. I mounted it on the wall behind my desk. Being able to quickly reach and disconnect/connect chargers and USB is fantastic. The workmanship and the design are great. I hope I never have to find out how well the surge protector works.

Splitter function seems satisfactory so far. However, I tried mounting it under my desk and despite pre-drilling four holes and finger tightening the screws, three of the four included screws broke in half and the fourth was badly bent. The metal of the screws is so soft it looks like plastic. Now I have to go to the hardware store to find some proper screws to fit the small holes on the extension. Not the best experience.

Beautiful and white. Although it can work with 7 3-pin AC plugs, the whole unit is too small. Additional USB ports are a plus. But there is not enough space between the individual connections. I mounted it on the wall in my garage. The supplied "wall anchors" are too small. I used my own 50 pound drywall anchors. everyone. So 4 corners x 50 pounds. = 200 pounds. holding power. It's not coming off the wall! All in all, a pretty good power surge.

Be sure to measure the width of the plugs you intend to use with this appliance as the sockets are not that far apart , as I had hoped. I still chose to keep this extension because of its compact size, the ability to hang it on the wall and the 7 sockets available. I am using 1ft extensions from Etekcity https://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-Power-Extension-Outlet-Listed/dp/B00CEJW0WQ/ref=sr_1_3 with this extension and it solved my problem.

Addendum to my original review: Having now been using this replacement product regularly for some time it works very well and would definitely recommend this product. May 15, 2021 Some outlets stopped working after a while. The return period has expired, so the money was wasted. Addendum: Immediately after I submitted the review, the company sent me a replacement, which thus worked perfectly. I bought this power strip precisely because the sockets are far apart. It's so hard to find this feature in the extension cords you usually buy. Power adapters seem to be getting bigger and power strips seem to focus on features like green energy and fast charging without increasing the distance between outlets.
