(sorry, side photo) They are very delicate to handle - almost two super thin wires connected by tiny LEDs. I suspect it's fragile to detach and reposition as a small click of the ultra-thin wire will stop the flow. I think with surprisingly light weight and mixability comes brittleness. I love these lights so far. I thought the USB port was bad, but I didn't plug it in all the way. The video is a twist on the "fade" and I think I got the full range of colors the light offers. I agree with other reviewers that the white version is actually light blue. I've included a closeup of the lamp and wire in my hand. Shown are my favorite colors. Overall I recommend these lamps if you have the patience to deal with flimsy wires. I haven't tested the battery life, so I can't comment on that. The colors are great and the remote control works. I need to try some functions ("Assign Fade", "Assign Jump". Understandable, but the number of colors in each and how then "Enter" is not clear to me from the guides) . You can even stick with pieces of clear tape for maximum camouflage.
