I have quite a bit of experience putting things like this together. The directions are only with drawings, no decriptions. If you follow the directions exactly, it will go together nicely. I recommends having 2 people put it together. but I did it myself. If you let the peices bend, the screw can tear the wood. The difficult part is adding the final piece of wood at the bottom. It is a bit unstable, and would benefit from attaching it to the wall. I rent, so I'm not able to do this. I'm very pleased with this product, and would recommend it with 5 stars.
