tl;dr: The software for this camera does not work. These cameras are very durable and seem to last a long time. They offer decent video quality to use. Night vision is monochrome but works very well. The DVR itself is pretty reliable. Everything is pretty easy to use. Unfortunately, the DVR only records to H.264 raw files instead of creating the more useful MP4 or AVI containers. This means that the only way to save video to a computer for easy viewing is to use the manufacturer's DVR software. The problem is that the software is very poor when it comes to converting videos. The converted videos have around 20% speed of the original videos. However, the audio plays at the original speed, but the audio interval used does not match the video interval. The audio recording feature is almost useless, and the inability to play videos at normal speed is a significant downside, as it's difficult to judge how fast events are happening. Without an accurate timestamp, the video would generally be unusable. The only way to view videos correctly is to use the manufacturer's software, any conversion to a common format is inaccurate.
