Review on Quadcopter DJI Mavic Mini, white by Somsak Saladang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

Do not be surprised that there will be impressions that others would attribute to the "Disadvantages" section. But when buying, I knew about these features of the device, so for me they are not shortcomings, but rather features. 1. The mass of the apparatus, in addition to obvious advantages, also has a negative side - low (compared to others) resistance to wind. The declared 8 m / s seems to withstand, but with a stronger wind the device starts to stagger. The stabilization system tries its best, but at the same time, power consumption rises, and video quality decreases due to obvious shaking. If the drone is complaining about strong winds, it's best not to tempt fate, but to descend and/or abort the flight. 2. No 4K, Active Track mode and follow the waypoints. However, this is most likely a matter of marketing. The drone is designed for a beginner in shooting from a quadrocopter. Want more features? Take the older models of the line. 3. No front obstacle sensor. Therefore, you need to be careful with the auto-return function. Summary: The cheapest and lightest of the Mavic lineup. Ideal for getting familiar with drone functions and control features. For most aerial photography tasks, it is just fine. In short, if you wanted a drone for filming, but didn’t know where to start, then Mavic Mini is the best option.

Pros
  • This drone has two main advantages: mass and flight time. Mass: I threw it into a backpack and go shoot wherever you want - it won’t pull your shoulders. And you don’t have to waste time registering a drone (for someone, it’s also a plus). The flight time compared to others is very good. Declared up to 30 minutes. I shot somewhere for 17-20 minutes of video before discharge. When compared even with other drones in the Mavic line, the result is very good. The drone is also surprisingly strong. He hit me once on the ground and once on a tree during operation. And nothing, it works. Not a bad camera. The quick shooting modes also work well.
Cons
  • Faced GPS glitches. Because of them, just, apparently, the incidents mentioned in the "Dignity" section occurred - hitting the ground and a tree. It was very frustrating because the drone suddenly stopped responding to the remote control and continued moving no matter what. The remote control is not very convenient for large smartphones. I often miss the buttons on the screen due to the protruding parts of the remote control. An unexpected minus was the accessory mode. I took the drone in the Fly More Combo configuration, and there the propeller protection is included. And when putting this protection on the drone, the accessory mode turned on automatically and sharply limited the altitude and flight range (30 and 50 m, respectively). For a long time I can’t understand why the drone doesn’t want to fly far, and disabling this mode is hidden in the menu well (if you’re interested, then “Security”> “Advanced settings”). This mode is not specifically mentioned anywhere, and the instructions say little about it. Not the best camera performance in "Auto" mode. Likes to overexpose. It is better to use manual settings.
