In this ceramic bowl, I cooked 2 packs of ramen noodle soup at the same time. The bowl is big enough but probably only meant for cooking one pack at a time. I've also used the bowl to make oatmeal and instant cereal. Cleaning was easy. I did not use it for cooking with the lid closed, but closed the lid after the food was cooked. I think the bowl is very nice and just the right size to warm up leftover vegetables or pasta dishes. All of this is easy to clean and the bowl will look like new after multiple uses. I plan to buy a few more of these bowls in different colors to match the Fiesta Wear paraphernalia. Update: I ordered the yellow, blue and green bowl as I liked the pink bowl I received earlier. The blue and green bowls arrived in perfect condition. The yellow bowl stirred in its unopened packaging and when I opened it I found with pain that the bottom of the bowl was missing a piece of glaze, sharp as broken glass, which unexpectedly cut my finger. I will ask for a replacement as I love these bowls so much.
