Review on 16 Inch Stainless Steel Magnetic Knife Bar - Versatile Knife Holder, Rack, Strip, Utensil and Tool Organizer for Modern Innovations in the Kitchen by John Rivera

The strip has magnetic hotspots

This product has 10 evenly spaced magnets that polarize specific 'points' on the rod, resulting in 10 different areas of strong magnetic attraction along the entire length of the rod. Other areas along the pole have a weaker magnetic field, meaning your tools/knives/etc. wanting to be pulled or leaned towards these "hot spots" - most obviously when the knife blade is moving along the rod, the knife, "jumping" from hotspot to hotspot, rather than being pulled evenly along the length. Bar. You can of course have more than 10 tools/knives/etc. attach along the length of the bar, but they will all tilt or overlap next to these strong magnet points, requiring adjustment and time to correct. Other more expensive magnetic bars don't have these problems - here you get what you pay for for half the price, but with problems. The bar holds up pretty well and a couple of large knives on the fridge and the knives feel secure on the bar - I believe if the magnets were more evenly distributed across the bar and eliminated those "hot spots" it would be 5 * on the whole pole . Blackboard.

Pros
  • ★ ORGANIZE EVERYTHING: This magnetic strip has an extra length that allows you to hold more knives than most knife blocks on the market, yet is small enough to fit universally in many nooks and crannies of your kitchen or your workplace.
