Review on 🔌 Rode VC1 10ft Mini-Jack/3.5mm Stereo Extension Cable by Abbas Kumar

For a $20 10ft cable called RODE I expected high quality! What I got was garbage! The product arrived quickly as I have a prime. Was in a plain bubble mail box, was undamaged when received. Last weekend I tried to make a video on Youtube with my ring light. A DSLR was pointed through my ring light with a cable and a Rode VideoMicro microphone mounted on a tripod four feet away and connected through this extension. Cable. There was a loud buzz and the rest of the sound was lost. Just to make sure I did a few experiments. When the light is off, there is no sound. so the noise is no matter where I placed the micro. I even placed the mic 10 feet away in another room and turned the lights on and off! and the sound came and went with the light. Tried moving the camera away from the light, no change. Finally, I moved the light away from the camera and placed the microphone on the camera using the original 6 inch cable. The light goes on and off, there is no sound. Conclusion? The shielded cable also seems fragile and small. I immediately sent this junk back to the carrier and got my money back. Rode is usually associated with quality, but that made me question that claim, especially for the price paid.
