My baby is usually a size 5 which fits her perfectly. So I ordered a size 6 for this Mini Mellisa shoe and it fits great. There is a bit of room for the toe, about 5mm. (But it's still smaller than I thought. I recommend going up a size!) The arch support elastic is too tight, causing my child's toes to be uncomfortable and painful. So I hope he loosens up later. And it is too bright a color close to a fluorescent coral + orange-red. Thought they were red shoes but so far so good.
