The harder you press, the more brush marks you will have. If you want a solid area but the brush continues to leave bare patches, try applying the paint with less pressure.4. A good canvas will hold the color. Good colors mix easily and are opaque. It's cheap canvas and cheap paint, so they don't mix well. If you're frustrated, it's not you, it's the materials.
