These hooks will not hang up to 25lbs let alone 1lb. I've tried hanging small paintings and they stayed on the wall for an hour before falling (I used two hooks on the larger painting which still weighed no more than 25 pounds and the subsequent fall broke the edge of the original artwork damaged). . I blame myself for that, I should have known better than to use cheap hooks on an expensive attachment.) I've tried hanging lighter items like my grocery bag bin and oven mitts, they managed to last a full week on the wall hang before they fall down. These hooks don't work! Don't hang it on painted walls either! This product instantly removed the paint from a wall before I realized it wasn't even worth trying again. They also claim to stay at a 90 degree angle where they can move, but it's not designed to fix that angle so you can hang things so they'll just fall back off, so I'm me not sure why they used it as a selling point. I can't even return the item because in frustration I threw away the hooks that fell off the wall, but refunding these cheap hooks won't fix the damage to my (not so priceless but actually quite expensive) artwork.
