A bit difficult to start with but worth it, produces a very good picture. I had to uninstall and reinstall the software multiple times. The included mp4 cloning software is very crude but works, not suitable for fine editing and no enhancement features. I was hoping it would provide a video file that could be put into a good editing program and trimmed, trimmed and enhanced. At first I couldn't get it into another program at all (Ver 11 Sony Vegas Movie Studio). It turned out to be the cloner version I was using, they say you are using version 2.10 build 105, it can be downloaded from their website, in fact nothing on their website is marked as such, it is and downloadable but it is not marked as Vet 2.10 Build 105. After I installed the software it gave me a file (mp4) which could be played on some players but not others, it still could not be thrown into the Sony software. Recorded on a USB flash drive or on a computer hard drive without a difference. The workaround I've decided on is to take the original file and convert it using one of the free converters available on the internet. Everyone seems to work. You can even take the original mp4 and convert it to mp4 and the new file can be loaded into the editor with no problems, there is no visible video degradation that I can detect. I can't speak for the scheduling feature as I haven't tried it. I would like to see a countdown timer as an addition to the schedule, you can start recording and then set a stop point, 30 minutes. 1 hour 1.5 hours 2 hours, 2.5 hours and soon. In other words, you can start recording, set the time and go. The cloner recorded and stopped the specified time. Your support (Julia) was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction, probably the best online support I have ever dealt with. It is a reliable device, it was well packaged. I have tried many devices of this type including Hauppauge, TV2PC, Honestech and this is the only one that has stuck with me. For some reason all these different companies make hardware of almost low quality and then cripple it with lousy software. Another thing the Cloner Alliance can do to make it customer friendly and cost next to nothing is to include batteries for the remote control.
