I loved this screw cap for two 5 gallon American Maid Bottles and it was pretty obvious it couldn't hold water when It's been flipped once.It really annoys me that the top review of this Zeroone bottle stopper says it fits a 5 gallon American Maid water jug but has a 53mm neck instead of the standard 55mm neck , which does not fit 53mm threads Another review says it can pop out of the thread and hold long enough for you to quickly put a bottle on a water dispenser for any reason such a spill, tighten the cap. 55mm cap for 53mm thread. OH CLOSE! But there are workarounds. Here's what I did: I took a piece of plastic wrap, folded it about 2-4 times and wrapped the threads around it. Now the cap has tension get on the thread. I did this and inverted the bottle with no spilling. I wanted to be stylish with an overflow cap, but practicality and frugality led me to use this workaround. I will survive. There are more important things in the world to take care of.
