Review on ๐Ÿ’… High-Grade Stainless Steel Victorinox Nail Clippers with File - Swiss Army, 8.2055.CB, Packaged in a Blister by Kerry Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My article is almost two years later.

Because like many of you, I'm stuck at home right now waiting for the day when we get "all clear" or at least the COVID-19 becomes manageable. Even if. On the other hand, I can now sit here and reflect on all the things I bought CENTURIES ago. So funny. == My 23 month review == I confess I bought these little nail clippers with little hope that they would do the job well. And yes, the Victorinox brand influenced my decision. It serves as a relatively small tag on my fob (not that the regular, cheaper alternatives are much larger) and admittedly rides very well. I love how it folds up and stays in a storage position for everyday transport, which hasn't always been the case with other clippers such as the Store. district supermarket. In this respect, I really like "Wiki". It's not all puppies, gummy bears and roses in bloom with this 580 clipper, however. Like all clippers, it's not particularly grippy or non-slip in texture and tends to slip in my hand at the most inconvenient moments, and I think so is somewhat exacerbated by its smaller size. I definitely would have preferred it (and all other nail clippers) to have a knurled, jagged, or similarly rough texture that would give the user a firmer, more confident purchase of the tool. Especially for something that's being sold at an obvious premium, relatively speaking, compared to your garden variety, nail clippers at the checkout. However, this little clipper cuts VERY sharp and the edges have held up well for the past 23 months. Of course, I don't use this tool every time my nails need trimming (more like every third or fourth time), but outside the home it's been my best bet and hasn't really let me down so far. It never shows any sign of breaking and generally handles both nails and hangnails with aplomb. If only it didn't squirm as badly as it does now, it would be damn close to being the ideal portable solution. Anyway, I just don't like the ergonomics and that's what counts in the end, although I don't think this nail clipper will be replaced any time soon. 3 1/2 stars generously rounded up to 4.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
