No.1 reason, no.1 reason; NOT MADE IN THE USA. Designed? Yes, mechanical engineering? Maybe. Manufactured? NO However, the material is soft and pliable. Expect it not to scratch the bike when I use it to attach zip ties to the lift table. Also, they will live in a drawer. I really wish they were made in the USA but they aren't. Edit: Used them to mount bikes. Works very well and does not scratch surfaces. Added a star for this (4). I'm still a bit annoyed by the way they're packaged.
