I have two old Niver hands and this one is almost entirely better. When fully tightened, the arms do not move even when a reasonable amount of force is applied to them. The new clamp looks better and works better on flat surfaces. Degraded on the old rubber after a few years. A new one that will probably come with the rubber on the inside of the yoke, but the rubber on the ends of the yoke seems to hold in place better so it wears out less and lasts longer. I have 3 types of clamps. Minor Complaints 1. The ends of the levers rotate around the tube which is held onto the clip/accessory even with a little effort. As far as I can tell this is the standard for hands like this and you can probably position it so that it doesn't apply force in that direction, but it would be nice if it didn't2. The clamp is not suitable for pipes as thin as the old one. It only clamps to about 0.55" or 14mm. The old one could go up to about 0.4" or 10mm.3. The new clip adapter is a bit slippery so even with a very tight fit the clip will stick to it Also, I can't find an easy way to remove the clamp adapter.
