I wear them for EUC Riding. In warm weather I wear them with shorts, but in cooler weather I wear them over my pants. I wore them on a recent car ride but did NOT remove the inner knee pads on my motorcycle pants causing those pads to move. This is not a problem when the inner knee pads are removed. The best thing about these pads is that they start with the comfort of your knees and then build from there. The hinge is perfect for both movement and protection and they offer sizes for people with big hips like mine. A problem I have with almost anything to do with feet. The straps are easily adjustable, even when fastened, so you can pair them with whatever pants you're wearing. I've found that it holds best if I pull the middle strap snug on the narrower side across the calves (my friends say it's cows) and the other two straps snug but not too tight. comfy shin guards that I was wearing and I even forget they're there. Expensive but worth it!
