Before I ordered this tripod I was under the impression that it looked a lot better quality and more expensive than it was worth. And I have to say that my impression after receiving the product is the same. The assembly is very solid and exquisite. The rotating part for adjusting the height selection has good movement and action. Panning is surprisingly good (although I didn't experience smoothness at one point of rotation, but it seems to have resolved itself after some use). Overall I'm really enjoying it so far and hopefully it will make me carry and use a tripod more often. tripod at this price. By control I mean the ability to adjust resistance for more precise movement. When you start loosening your head, it becomes loose almost immediately. Even when I tried to leave some friction, the movement wasn't that great. I should also mention that I have not used any straps to attach to objects, nor do I intend to. I'm skeptical about this idea and don't think it's practical. Overall I highly recommend this product.
